In this retreat we will explore ways of developing an ever deepening awareness of our practices of asana, meditation, pranayama, chanting and philosophical study. Working with the foundational structure of the Ashtanga Vinyasa system of postures and the wave patterns of sound, sensation and form, we will discover new ways to move safely on the breath so that postures are not only invigorating, but also ever deepening and transformative.
The complementary practices of subtle pranayama and chanting, as well as the study of philosophical forms will then take us deep into the clarity, relaxation and fun of full yoga practice.
In the mornings we will practice asana and in the afternoons we will work with chanting, meditation, pranayama and a study of the Hatha Pradipika as it informs this internal awakening.
