In this class we'll explore how to link yoga postures into intelligent chains so that within each pose we can find the subtle internal alignment that reveals the contemplative core of the practice. Working deeply we will use the rhythms of the internal breath and the back and forth action and counteraction of Vinyasa to focus on the natural rhythms that support an integrated, fluid form of movement; the prana-apana, effort-release, male-female actions that give freedom to the practice. Finding this exquisite detail and meditative alignment makes Ashtanga Vinyasa yoga work right from the very beginning. The form is energetic and integrated, challenging yet deeply meditative and subtle.
